For OpenOffice, insert the placeholder.jpg image in your template where you would like the animal's picture to appear (go to Insert->Picture->From File and pick placeholder.jpg from the Program Files/ASM/data/media/templates directory).

You can size the image as you want it to appear and add any effects.
