You may want to set the custom.properties mentioned above on a system wide basis for users (or some of the other settings configured through files in the .asm folder).

If you create a folder called ``dotasm'' at the root level under System->Media Files, you can put any files there that you would like to appear in the .asm folder of any client machine (they will download them each time ASM starts).
